About Body Lab

The Body Lab team

Our Story

Founded in 2016

Body Lab, founded by Heather O'Hara in 2016, is a leading dance training facility for individuals ranging in ages from 2 to adult.

Heather has been instructing and training professionally for 28 years all over the United States. She is a well-known performer with accolades such as the Radio City Rockettes, a balancing act with Cirque du Soleil, and choreographing aerial/dance shows for Celebrity Cruise Line. She takes pride in providing well-rounded, strong technical training not only in dance but also in acrobatics and aerial arts.

Most of Body Lab's classes are training-focused, catering to individuals aged 12+, without a yearly recital. In Fall 2018, the younger-beginner classes started participating in an end-of-year Spring Show. The event includes guest performances by Body Lab's Performance Academy, hip hop companies, Advanced Aerial Company, and Kick Company.

Body Lab also collaborates with Lake Travis Jiu Jitsu Club — Heather's husband's martial arts business — offering another adventure to the Lake Travis community. At Body Lab and LTJJC, there is something for everyone.

In August 2017, O'Hara Dance Agency transformed into Body Lab Performance Academy (BLPA). Specialty companies now include Kick Lab, Velocity, Lab Ratz, Mini Molecules, and Aerial Company, performing and competing around Texas.
