Rachelle Davis, founder and owner of The Umbrella Project, started her dance training at the age of 3 in South Africa, training in many versatile styles. She competed from a young age, qualified top 3 in South Africa for Showdance (Contemporary), and represented South Africa at the IDO World Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany for three consecutive years, finishing in the top 15 in the world.
Rachelle studied Sport Science at the University of Pretoria and is a Sport Psychology graduate. She finished in the top 6 of 5,000 dancers on South Africa's Dans Dans Dans, then performed professionally in Dubai for six years — including work with Kylie Minogue, 50 Cent, Craig David, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and Jennifer Lopez, plus performances for dignitaries and the acclaimed "The Act" Dubai. She was also the personal dance coach and instructor for children of the Royal Family of Dubai.
